Noah and Bella's Garden

We planted our seeds in the first week of the school holidays. We have made our main garden smaller this year, but have used pots and other garden areas to plant some of our seeds. It is so exciting to watch our changes in our garden and to see everything growing (even the weeds). We think the warmer weather and rain have helped our seeds to grow into seedlings.

Nice job Noah and Bella. I am also taking on the challenge of a garden at home. Maybe you could share with me how you prepared your garden before planting this week at school.

  2. Hi Mr C,
We dug it over and then we pulled all of the weeds out. We then organised where we were going to put the plants. Then we put them in the places we decided to put them in. From Bella

Great idea Bella. I wish I thought of that.........I will end up with about 10 iceberg lettuces at the same time. Maybe we could do a swap for different vegetables when they are ready!

  3. Hi Mr C,

After we pu the seeds in the holes we had to water them. We put our corn, sunflowers and poppies in a different place because they grow big. It was lots of fun

Great to hear things are growing! I am lucky because we are trying to grow some grass at the moment and that needs a lot of watering. The extra water that falls outside the grassy area is going onto my garden and man do the plants love it! What important things to plants need to grow as big and tall as you?

Nice looking garden Bella and Noah. You look and sound very proud of it. I'm picking my miners lettuce, that I got from you Noah, and using it in salads, it's yum. Mrs Hall
